The Ness County Board of Commissioners met in regular session
Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Room. Chairman Sandra Y. Rupp called the meeting to order with Commissioners Mark Davis and County Clerk Renee S. Kerr in attendance.
Minutes of the August 28, 2017 meeting were read and approved.
Road and Bridge
Road and Bridge/Landfill Supervisor Ron Johnson and Assistant Supervisor L.D. Ochs filed weekly reports.
$55.00 was taken in as tipping fees August 22-26, 2017.
Road conditions were reviewed.
Machinery maintenance was discussed.
Johnson and Ochs presented road reviews to the Commission.
A conference call was held with Ness City Clerk Wanda Gabel. (Davis, Rupp, Johnson, Ochs and Kerr present for the call). The City of Ness City is working on a drainage project and needs city maps. Commissioner Rupp stated that Ness County will provide the map and will absorb the cost.
A conference call was placed to District Court Judge Bruce Gatterman. (Davis, Rupp, Johnson, Ochs and Kerr present for the call). Judge Gatterman and the Commission discussed the cost of drug testing, office rent and phone bills.
Sheriff Bryan Whipple presented his activity report for the month of August.
Emergency Preparedness Director Travis Rothe and the Commission discussed the LEPC meeting, the NIMS Resolution, and trainings.
Accounts Payable checks and vouchers were reviewed and signed.
The meeting adjourned at noon.
