The Ness County Board of Commissioners met in regular session Monday, July 24, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Room. Chairman Mark Davis called the meeting to order with Commissioner, David L. Albers, and County Clerk Renee S. Kerr in attendance.
Minutes of the July 17, 2017 meeting were read and approved.
Road and Bridge
Road and Bridge/Landfill Supervisor Ron Johnson and Assistant Supervisor L.D. Ochs filed weekly reports.
4,920 yards of dirt was hauled last week. No sand or rock was hauled.
Road conditions were reviewed.
Machinery maintenance was discussed. A company representative will be out to look at a mower that is not working properly.
The open mechanic position was discussed.
Emergency Preparedness Director Travis Rothe and the Commission discussed tornado siren testing, the Emergency Preparedness vehicle, Noxious Weed, and the Fire Management Grant. Rothe is testing the ADT (IRIS) alert system every Monday.
Accounts Payable checks and vouchers were reviewed and signed.
